Evanston, IL becomes first US city to approve reparations

Local officials in Evanston, IL approved $400k of reparations for certain Black residents, becoming the first US city to make reparations available for past discrimination. The city has committed $10M to reparations, funded through a 3% tax on cannabis sales.
