EU officials provide update on AstraZeneca vaccine

EU health officials found that blood clots are a “very rare” side effect of AstraZeneca’s coronavirus vaccine, but noted that the benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks. Several nations temporarily suspended use of the vaccine last month due to concerns over blood clotting. The vaccine has not yet received regulatory authorization in the US.
