EU regulators approve the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine

EU regulators approved the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine yesterday, authorizing the drug for its 448M inhabitants (across its 27 member states). The greenlight follows earlier approval in the UK and the US, where distribution has already started. Distribution in some EU states could start as early as Sunday.

Extra: The EU has ordered 300M doses of the vaccine, enough for 150M people given the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine requires two doses.
