Election update (day 3)

The US presidential election remained too early to call this morning. Democratic candidate Joe Biden currently holds a narrow advantage in three of the four states that have not been called by the Associated Press, including Pennsylvania and Georgia (as of this morning) as well as Nevada. President Trump currently leads in North Carolina.

More context: Based on states that have been called by the AP (some of which are still counting votes), President Trump holds 214 electoral votes and Democratic Joe Biden holds 264. In order to secure the 270 electoral votes required to win the election, President Trump would need to win each of the remaining four states that have not been called by the AP and Joe Biden would need to win at least one.

Extra: Election data is as of 9:30am ET. Get the latest numbers here.
