The DOJ opened a “pattern or practice investigation” into the Louisville government and police department yesterday. The investigation follows the death of Breonna Taylor last year (one of several incidents that prompted widespread protests over police brutality and racial inequality). The DOJ announced a similar investigation in Minneapolis last week.
