Chadian President Idriss Deby died today after suffering wounds during a fight against rebel groups. Deby led Chad for 30 years and was reelected for a new six-year term yesterday. An 18-month transitional council will be led by Deby’s 37-year-old son (Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno) according to the military.
