Canadian National agrees to acquire Kansas City Southern

Canadian National Railway agreed to acquire Kansas City Southern for $34B, outbidding rival Canadian Pacific (which agreed to acquire Kansas City Southern for ~$29B in March). The deal, if completed, would be the largest ever involving two rail companies.
