Budweiser forgoes Super Bowl ad for first time since 1983

Budweiser announced that it will forgo Super Bowl advertising for the first time in 37 years, instead using the ad spend for coronavirus vaccine awareness. The brand’s parent company Anheuser-Busch will still advertise other brands (e.g. Bud Light and Michelob) during the game. Other companies including Coke and Audi have also announced plans to forgo Super Bowl advertising this year.
