The value of Bitcoin surpassed $40k yesterday, extending a historic run that began late last year. Bitcoin’s value has increased by over 400% over the last year, due in part to growing corporate and institutional adoption of the cryptocurrency (including PayPal’s launch of a crypto-focused platform).
