US Army fires 14 at Fort Hood

The US Army fired or suspended 14 officers and enlisted soldiers and ordered a series of policy changes at Fort Hood after an independent panel found that the base’s culture and climate created “a permissive environment for sexual assault and sexual harassment.” The investigation was prompted by the disappearance and murder of Spc. Vanessa Guillen earlier this year.
