Arkansas passes near-total ban on abortion, setting stage for Supreme Court review

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson signed a near-total ban on abortions into law yesterday. Hutchinson noted that the law contradicts “binding precedents of the US Supreme Court,” but that the legislation aims to prompt the Supreme Court to revisit prior case law (e.g. Roe v. Wade).
