The antitrust case between Epic Games and Apple kicks off today. Epic (which makes the popular video game Fortnite) filed separate antitrust lawsuits against Apple and Google last year in relation to the tech giants’ app store policies, alleging that the companies unlawfully control the distribution of software to phones and the payment systems within that software (specifically citing the 30% fee charged on in-app purchases).
