Airlines to move forward with furloughs

Major airlines including United and American plan to begin furloughing over 30k employees today. The furloughs come amid continued economic fallout in the air travel sector (driven by the ongoing coronavirus outbreak), with demand dropping as much as 70% compared to pre-coronavirus levels.
