900k people file for unemployment in the US
900k people filed for unemployment in the US last week, according to the Department of Labor’s weekly jobless claims report. While the tally marks a moderate decline compared to last week, it remains above the pre-coronavirus record of 695k (set in 1982) for the 44th consecutive week.
